In The Footsteps Of Judas
Reverend Kate Bottley re-opens the case against the Bible's greatest villain, Judas Iscariot. In Jerusalem she visits the places associated with his betrayal and death and asks: can Judas be forgiven?
Kate’s journey takes her from her parish in Nottingham to Jerusalem, where she pieces together the events leading up to the Crucifixion. Why did Judas betray his Master at his most desperate hour? And on a day when we remember that Jesus died for all our sins, is Judas excluded from that forgiveness?
A number of leading theological experts contribute to Kate’s investigation, as she visits the Upper Room of the Last Supper; Gethsemane - the scene of Judas’ treacherous kiss; and the Field of Blood, where, according to Christian tradition, Judas hanged himself.
Ultimately, Kate demonstrates why Judas matters and why he is central to our understanding of the Christian message today.

The Battle For Christianity
The Battle for Christianity examines the reasons behind a rise in popularity in Christianity in the UK in a documentary which shows how confident, assertive faith is replacing traditional churches in the UK. Professor Robert Beckford looks at how immigration, radical social action, conservative morality and charismatic worship are transforming the face of Christianity in the UK and asks what that might mean for the future in an increasingly secular society.

Dawkins Sex, Death and the Meaning of Life Watch free Online BBC documentary series
Dawkins: Sex, Death and the Meaning of Life
is a three-part documentary presented by Richard Dawkins which explores what reason and science might offer in major events of human lives. He argues that ideas about the soul and the afterlife, of sin and God's purpose have shaped human thinking for thousands of years. He believes science can provide answers to some of these old questions we used to entrust to religion. This thought-provoking series is not about whether God exists or not. It explores more challenging questions such as "what happens as we move on and leave religion behind?", "what will guide and inspire us in a world free of all Gods?", "how can an atheist find a meaning in life?", "how can we face death without the comfort after life?" and "how we should think about right and wrong?"

Heaven Beyond the Grave | Documentary Film

Heaven Beyond the Grave
Heaven has influenced politics, decided the course of nations, become the obsession of learned scholars, and inspired countless works of art. Most of all, the promise of heaven has determined how people have lived their lives...and how they've died. Through interviews with religious scholars and leaders, we explore the concept of heaven and its rich history. We trace the evolution of the idea of an afterlife--from ancient Egypt, through Renaissance writers and artists whose work it inspired, to the uniquely American vision that traveled across the sea on the Mayflower--and explore other religious views of heaven. Our experts also tackle the difficult subject: Can only those who accept Jesus Christ be admitted to heaven? What of the virtuous of other religions? Will they be excluded because they aren't Christian? Our experts discuss this delicate question, reflecting on the idea that perhaps a heaven as we know it waits for each of us on the other side of death.

The Bank of God | Documentary Film

The Bank of God
In this Documentary film we look into financial scandals that have always plagued the Bank of Vatican. The Vatican City is a landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within the city of Rome. Encircled by a 2-mile border with Italy the city covers just over 100 acres, making it one-eighth the size of New York's Central Park. Vatican City is governed as an absolute monarchy with the Pope as its head. And is one of the most sacred places in Christendom. The Vatican mints its own Euros, prints its own stamps, issues passports and license plates, operates media outlets and has its own flag and anthem. The Vatican also has its own bank.
The Vatican bank serves thousands of Catholic charities, religious orders and dioceses around the world, in addition to roughly 500 people living in the tiny city-state. It has some 33,400 accounts and about $8 billion in assets. Yet the Vatican bank's murky finances, which has been suspected for years of being a channel for the laundering of mob profits, perhaps has a skeleton in the closet.
