Drawing on contemporary accounts and recent archaeological discoveries, this drama tells the real story of what happened, including the exact cause of the deaths of the 5,000 townspeople. In the year 79 A.D., the ancient city of Pompeii was transformed from a thriving community to a wasteland in little more than a day when the massive volcano Mount Vesuvius erupted, raining billions of tons of lava, stone, and ash upon the nearby city.

What is happening in Europe in the name of the troika? A must-see for anyone who wants to understand the situation in Greece and find out why the austerity policy imposed by Germany has failed. The European Union and International Monetary Fund have lent more than €400 billion to Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Cyprus to keep these countries solvent. Without any public accountability, the troika is forcing the crisis states to implement policies that are tearing the social fabric of their countries apart. German journalist and best-selling author Harald Schumann traveled to Athens, Lisbon, Dublin, Nicosia, Brussels, Washington, New York and London, in order to find out who has actually benefited from austerity measures. He puts this question to ministers, parliamentarians, economists, bankers, doctors and also to the victims of these policies, the unemployed and the ill. Among the many people he meets are Nobel Prize winner Paul Krugman, IMF Director Paulo Batista and Yanis Varoufakis, the newly elected Greek finance minister. Schumann’s revelations are often devastating and shocking. Given the negotiations currently taking place between the newly elected Greek government and their European partners, this film is of great political and economic relevance.

As a result of newly discovered footage, new horrors of the Holocaust have now come to light on the Eastern Front during WWII. In 1945, the Allies liberated ‘death camps’ across Europe. The discoveries were so sickening that the liberators made films of them for the public and for future War Crimes Tribunal hearings. These were not the first filmed evidence of the Holocaust. The Nazis had already killed over a million Jews in the East by shooting. Newly found footage from the Soviet Union reveals scenes of these killings, as early as 1941. In the 71 years since, they sat in an archive, gathering dust. These unseen films now help us to tell the full, untold story of these killings, taken from a very different perspective.
